PART 1: USER GUIDE

1. Product Overview

The Starlink MINI 12V Compatible Socket is designed to provide a reliable and efficient power connection for Starlink MINI systems using a 12V power source. It is ideal for caravans, RVs, off-grid setups, and mobile installations where standard mains power is not available.

3. What’s Included
•    1 x Starlink MINI 12V compatible socket
•    Weatherproof stopper (to be used when Starlink not in use)

4. System Requirements
•    12V DC power source (battery or regulated supply)
•    Starlink MINI and cable

5. How to Use
    Ensure the socket is correctly installed (see Installation Guide below).
    Remove and store the weatherproof plug.
    Connect your Starlink MINI cable to the socket by lifting up the lid and inserting the cable into the          base.
    Close lid fully.
    Position your Starlink MINI with a clear line of sight to the sky.
    Allow approximately 60 seconds for your Starlink MINI to power up.
    Follow the instructions in your Starlink MINI App.

6. Troubleshooting
No Power to Starlink MINI 
    Check blue light on Starlink.
    Check battery voltage. 
    Confirm wiring polarity. 
    Ensure secure connections.
Intermittent Connection 
    Check for loose wiring. 
    Inspect socket for damage.

PART 2: INSTALLATION GUIDE

1. Tools Required
•    Wire stripper/crimper
•    Screwdriver
•    Drill 
•    Multimeter 

2. Parts Required
•    RVWIFI Starlink Mini Socket
•    Twin core 15Amp(1.85mm²) cable no longer than 5m
•    10Amp inline fuse if connecting to unprotected circuit
•    Caravan or Motorhome
Note: Reverse polarity protection included, overload protection included.

3. Step-by-Step Installation

3.1: Disconnect Power
Ensure the 12V power source is completely disconnected before starting installation.

3.2: Choose Mounting Location
•    Ideally on the offside/non door side but not essential.
•    Select a dry, easy to reach location.
•    Ideally with wiring cavity behind.
•    Avoid heat sources and moving parts.
•    Drill a 10mm hole to feed internal power cable.

3.3: Prepare Wiring
•    Prepare a dedicated circuit and determine appropriate BMS terminals or battery connection.
•    Use correctly rated cable (recommended: dual 1.85mm² core wire no longer than 5m).

3.4: Connect Wiring
•    Crimp or otherwise securely connect positive wire to the positive terminal.
•    Crimp or otherwise securely connect negative wire to the negative terminal.
•    Test connection for 12 or more Volts at the internal wiring.

3.5: Mount Socket
•    Secure socket using screws or mounting hardware to a clean dry surface.
•    Ensure firm, level and stable installation.

3.6: Test Installation
•    Plug in Starlink MINI and verify operation power out to Starlink approx. 30VDC.

4. Important Installation Notes
•    Always use a fuse close to the power source.
•    Ensure correct polarity.
•    Use recommended or larger cable sizing.
•    Avoid power waste by reasonably minimizing cable length.

5. Troubleshooting Installation Issues
Socket Not Powering - Verify voltage at terminals - Confirm wiring polarity.
Voltage Drop Issues - Use thicker cable - Shorten cable run.

6. Technical Specifications 
•    Input Voltage: 12V-24V DC
•    Current Rating: 6A max – typically approx. 2A
•    Operating Temperature: (-20 to +60 degrees Celsius)

7. Safety Information
•    Do not exceed recommended voltage (12V DC).
•    Ensure correct polarity before connecting power.
•    Use appropriate fuse protection.
•    Keep connections dry and protected from weather.
•    Disconnect power before performing maintenance.
